On-site works completed by Mansell Finishes earlier this year at a new £10 million care facility in Sale, South Manchester, has helped to deliver a five-star finish to the development.
The Ashlands Manor care home in Ashton-on-Mersey opened its doors in May 2017 and is one of a portfolio of homes operated by New Care.
Worth almost £300,000 to the company, Mansell’s works commenced on site in October 2016 and were completed on time in February 2017 in order to ensure a timely handover to Main Contractor McGoff & Byrne. Works included 6,300m2 of drylining, 3,500m2 of ceilings, 8,800m2 of plastering and 120m2 of render.
Ashlands Manor features a high specification interior designed finish across the building and was designed by architect Street Design Partnership. It offers purpose built accommodation including 57 well appointed bedrooms, en suite wet rooms, communal lounges, dining rooms and secure landscaped gardens. The centre also offers a host of hotel style services including fine dining, nail bar, a hair salon and concierge.
Dean Johnston, Managing Director at Mansell Finishes, comments: “New Care is making a name for itself not only for the quality of the care that the company offers but also in opening care homes that go the extra mile in terms of the quality of their décor. Internally the attention to detail and quality of finishes is impressive. We have over 25 years’ experience so were well place to ensure the best possible finishes were delivered to give the interior designer the best possible foundation for the internal décor and we are delighted to see the residents thriving in such a wonderful environment.”
