Excellence in quality and service comes first and foremost from the commitment of Mansell Finishes staff.

We have a comprehensive quality assurance programme, driven from the top down and overseen by our SHEQ Manager, ensuring we are devoted to company-wide quality assurance and standards in the product we build and the way it is delivered.

The way in which we do things is crucial and quality is an integral part of our IMS which is also certified to the ISO 9001 standard.

Our suppliers and tradesmen play a key part in maintaining a robust quality management system, with our help. Before we allow any tradesman to carry out work under our name, they have to undergo rigorous management interviews, as well as background, competency and experience investigations to ensure that you can count on Mansell Finishes time and again. Even then, our operatives undergo extensive, ongoing skills certification and safety and environmental training.  Our suppliers receive quarterly performance feedback and attend reviews with Company Directors to ensure partnerships are formed and together, we become able to deliver more with less.

Mansell Finishes are committed to the CSCS Scheme, and, as such, have been working towards full compliance for since 2003. We will continue to maintain this commitment to the Scheme. We can confirm that 100% of our directly employed labour (including site managers, commercial staff and operatives) hold a CSCS Card. As far as labour-only sub contractors are concerned, we estimate being 90% compliant at any given point in time. Any new operative that does not have a CSCS Card will be Health and Safety tested and NVQ registered within four weeks of their first payment. As such, we anticipate maintaining our compliance rate.

Sustainability in Quality

The way you do business makes your business sustainable. At Mansell Finishes, we want to deliver a quality service and product in a reliable and honest way.  This is crucial to forming working partnerships with our clients and suppliers, and also to assist them in delivering their sustainability targets.

Mansell Finishes have become renowned for understanding and trying to exceed our customer’s expectations.  We have KPI’s on customer satisfaction and in 2010 our average score was 7.85 out of 10.

We also want to do business fairly and have a moral approach to all areas of corporate responsibility.  Sustainable sub-contracting businesses understand and manage risk carefully.  Mansell Finishes has strict policies and processes in place to identify, mitigate and manage operational and business risks including those that are economic, social, environmental and ethical.  Our track record, operating since 1992 is testament to this.

We also act ethically and with integrity, which is a fundamental part of a sustainable business.  We operate an ethical conduct policy; we have standards of conduct and have grievance and disciplinary policies in place.

We are active members of the Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors (FPDC) and Angela Mansell, our Operations Director, has been Vice President since 2010 and will be the first female president in 2012.  We see this as a real way to put something back into the industry we come from, and to ensure that our sector is fairly represented; trained; with products developed to fit with a sustainable future in construction.
